The name Winnebago is synonymous with recreational vehicle travel in America. The name alone conjures up images of cross-country travel with loved ones, having a good time making long-lasting memories. Although they had a rocky start in 1958, they were able to bounce back and achieve many firsts in the recreational vehicle industry. They were able to do this by placing importance on innovation, high quality and great value. These are values that they continue to embrace, helping them stay relevant in an ever-changing market. Today, Winnebago Industries is comprised of several brands including, Winnebago, Itasca and SunnyBrook.
Winnebago
The Winnebago brand includes both Class A and Class C motor homes. They range in price from approximately $60,000 to upwards of $380,000. The Winnebago top-of-the-line model is the Class A, diesel-engine Tour. This is truly a home away home that comes with almost every imaginable feature available. Other Class A diesels in the lineup are the Journey, Forza and the much smaller Via. Winnebago also has an impressive lineup of Class A gas-engine RVs, which include the Adventurer, Vista and Sightseer. The View and the View Profile comprise Winnebago’s Class C diesel-engine lineup. Winnebago also has a varied lineup of Class C gas-engine motor homes. The Aspect, Trend, Access Premier, Minnie Winnie and Minnie Winnie Premier are all great options if you are looking for a Class C motor home.
Itasca
The Itasca brand has an equally impressive lineup of RVs that have a similar price range to the Winnebago brand. Itasca’s diesel-engine Class A includes the Ellipse, Meridian, Solei and Reyo. If gas engines are more to your liking they also offer the Suncruiser, Sunstar and Sunova in the Class A category. The Itasca brand, like the Winnebago brand, also offers two Class C diesel engine RVs; the Navion and the Navion iQ. To round out the Itasca brand lineup they also offer several Class C gas-engine motor homes. These include the Cambria, Viva!, Spirit, Spirit Silver and Impulse Silver. With all these choices the Itasca brand is definitely not wanting for options.
SunnyBrook
Winnebago Industries acquired SunnyBrook RV in 2010. This put Winnebago back in the towable manufacturing market for the first time since 1983. The SunnyBrook brand offers travel trailers and fifth wheels, a great choice for those that would like a more economical way to experience RV travel. The current lineup, which ranges in price from $19,500 to $47,350, includes the Remington and Sunset Creek travel trailers and the Raven fifth wheel.
