Opposite the Class A motorhome, the Class B motorhome is the smallest motorized RV, with starting prices at $50,000 to over $100,000. A Class B motorhome is more like a converted family van than a towering luxury motorhome. It is quite cozy for two people going on a romantic outing; but may be close quarters for four people on a cross-country camping adventure. Because of their small size they are easily maneuvered into and out of parking areas, which makes them the perfect travel RV for destination shopping, frequenting events, and other vacation and travel maneuverability Class A and Class C motorhomes can’t offer without towing another vehicle with you.
The most important thing to remember, as an RV buyer, in choosing the type of motorhome you buy is how you are personally going to use your motorhome. Want a cozy rendezvous with your spouse? Need more precise maneuverability and parking options? Class B RV may be your answer.
In a Class B RV there is no “bedroom area” in the back as there is in the Class A motorhome, and sleeping areas are hidden away in the folding down table and couch during the day. Class B motorhomes have more creative storage areas, and work better for shorter trips that need less supplies stored. The bathroom area in these conversion vans are efficiently planned, allowing for more room in the main cabin. Class B RVs don’t have the same slide-out options as the larger motorhomes, but uses the space it has in ingenious ways to accommodate all the needs of living on the road.
