The Freedom of RV’ing

MHF freedom at sunsetWhen Americans think of July, we think of freedom. And why not? This is the month we celebrate the day we, as a people, chose freedom. The freedom to go where we please, do as we please…

…The metaphor is a bit heavy-headed here, isn’t it? Still, it’s impossible to deny the freedom an RV can provide the frequent traveler.

In a world where plane travel has never been more bothersome—or expensive—traveling by roadtrip makes more sense than ever. In an RV, not only can you go where you want, you can set the terms of your stay. While on the road, you can take “all the comforts of home” to a level that no hotel can match.

There are plenty of excellent reasons to get into the RV lifestyle. More and more people do every year. We encourage you to take a look at our inventory of high-end RVs. All of our models come loaded with features that appeal to a wide range of potential travelers. Whether you like a modern environment or a more cozy, homey feel, we are positive you will find something that is perfect for you.

Americans love freedom, and nothing can deliver freedom quite like an RV. Choose one this summer season and start taking trips you’ll never forget!

Start planning now for your 2016 Fourth of July!

MHF American FlagWe hope everyone had a safe and happy Fourth of July! As you know, when it comes to celebrating the birth of a country, no one does it quite like Americans. All over the United States, people gather for burgers, barbecue, and, of course fireworks. It’s food and fun for the whole family!

We know how our RVing audience likes to travel, so we wanted to provide a few locations that you might want to start planning to visit next year when Independence Day rolls around. It’s never too soon to start planning to get a spot at the best festivities.

Chicago, Illinois

MHF Chicago 4th of July
The best time to visit Chicago is during the summer—at least, that’s what all of the locals say. Parks are at their most beautiful and the weather is pleasant. Fireworks displays take place all over the Chicagoland area, but the most notable is the Navy Pier Freedom Fest. Watch a fireworks spectacular, set to inspiring music, from the top of a building overlooking Lake Michigan, or take one of several dinner cruises celebrating the Fourth. If you have the time, stick around until July 8th, when the annual Taste of Chicago festival kicks off.

Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

MHF Philly 4th of July

Take a trip back to where our country began with a trip to Philadelphia, where the Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4, 1776. The city celebrates the holiday with a parade through the historic district and a concert on the parkway. After that, catch the fireworks show over the Museum of Art. Then, stay in the city for a few days and tour some of the historic sites, like Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. It’s the perfect way to gain a real appreciation for the holiday.

Washington, D.C.

MHF Washington DC 4th of July

The only place more patriotic than Philly on the Fourth of July is Washington. The nation’s capital pulls out all of the stops for their celebration, A Capitol Fourth: a parade at the National Mall, a performance by the National Symphony Orchestra, and an evening fireworks show that will bring a tear to your eye, lighting up the city’s monuments in breathtaking color.

Wherever you go, an RV is the perfect way to get there. You can stay comfortable no matter where you end up for next year’s holiday!
